We are really pleased to announce that we managed to raise the fantastic total of £3,488 during our fundraising weekend at Tesco Extra, Bidston Moss in Wirral on the weekend of 26/27 March. The money is being sent to the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal. A great big THANK YOU to the people of Wirral for their wonderful generosity and also for their personal messages of concern and support for the people in Japan affected by the tsunami. And thanks also to the management and staff at Tesco for supporting our appeal.
This is the blog for the Japan Tsunami Appeal (NW England), representing a number of Japanese families in the region. We will post updates about our various fundraising activities.

Japan Day in Lymm, Saturday 30 April
We have very kindly been offered the use of the Lymm Youth & Community Centre for a Japan Day event on Saturday 30 April from 12 to 5 pm (click here for map). Plans are still at a very early stage, but we will be bringing you some delicious food, together with other Japanese cultural activities, both traditional and modern.

Appeal Posters
We have made a poster for our appeal. There are high and low resolution versions of the poster in A4 size for you to print out. We ask for donations to be made via the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Fund. We have also included a blank box in the lower left so that a contact name and details can be added, for example for a person collecting at work or school.
